Meet our team of caring, compassionate professionals, dedicated to providing you and your family the best in-home care and support for your individual needs and preferences.
Donna has worked in community home care services for over 15 years before making the decision to open her own Home Instead Senior Care office in Toowoomba.
A Registered Nurse, Donna is committed to bringing the people of the Darling Downs our high-quality, flexible and personalised in-home care services.
I have over 18yrs experience working within the Community Services Sector, including Disability and Aged Care. In April 2016, I was awarded the LASAQ Individual Award of Excellence in Care for Queensland.
I hold Diplomas in both Business Management and Community Services.
As the Care Services Manager, I am responsible for the care management of all our clients care needs and delivery and coordination of care services by our CAREGivers. A key aspect of my care management activities is ensuring that our clients receive responsive care that has been determined by them to respond to their individual needs and preferences. I also have the responsibility for leading, supervising and supporting the CAREGivers ensuring that all care services are provided in accordance with an individual clients’ requirements. At Home Instead Senior Care, high quality service provision is who we are and what we do well and in all my years of experience working in the community care sector, I know I am in the right place to assist to provide individualised care to each and every one of our clients and their families.
In 2015 I joined HISC as one of the first CAREGivers employed at the Toowoomba office. My background includes studies in Nursing, and many years of working as an AIN in Hospitals and Aged Care Services. In 2017, I was promoted to the position of Care Co-ordinator, which I have found to be very rewarding as it enables me to provide the best services possible for Seniors within our community. I feel I am in the right place to make a difference in the lives of our Seniors who wish to remain in their own homes for as long as possible, while enjoying ongoing quality of life and independence.
With a background in Community Pharmacy, my passion for helping the community, and particularly senior members of our community, has been a huge part of my transition to Home Instead Senior Care Toowoomba.
I started with Home Instead Senior Care two years ago as Administration Office, and transitioned into my current role as Scheduler. My current position plays a huge part in ensuring our clients are receiving the best care they can while maintaining their independence at home by matching suitable CAREgivers to each client to best suit their needs.
My career in aged care started at the age of 19 when I began work with Home Instead as a CAREGiver. I am now working in the administration role within the office.
I have an absolute passion to help people and to provide support and confidence in any person’s life. Whether that be in a client’s life, their loved ones’ or just someone in need.
Working with Home Instead, my ability and experience are forever growing under the incredible guidance of Home Instead’s entire team. I have been blessed with an amazing opportunity to be welcomed and become part of such a hardworking and caring team.
I would have to say, my favourite part of working for Home Instead is that I have the pleasure to witness the immense dedication Home Instead as a whole provides to all of our clients with the best and most flexible service to suit their needs while giving them choice and independence.
To us It’s Personal, a motto we truly live by.
I am a mum with 2 children & have been a bookkeeper for 15 years. I love working with numbers and always have a quiet cheer when it all reconciles. I enjoy working at Home Instead because I can see the difference & enrichment Home Instead makes in the lives of the clients, and I am proud to be part of that difference.
